For Elyse boutique opens downtown
Another clothing store recently sprang up in the heart of downtown Redding.
For Elyse opened next to Vintner’s Cellar Custom Winery, in the 1700 block of California Street, on Aug. 19.
Rhinestone-studded denim is well represented, and the store carries all kinds of other apparel with labels such as Missy Me, Lucky and Guess. It also offers bags, belts, shoes, sunglasses and jewelry and other accessories.
“It’s really cute, inexpensive lines, tons of different ones,” manager Kelly Lacey says. “You come in and get the whole outfit if you want.”
Bright lights and the uptempo beat of satellite radio, along with Lacey’s thousand-watt smile, give the shop a cheery, youthful feel.
“We have something for everybody,” Lacey says. “It’s not just super-young. We had a 75-year-old grandmother in recently, and the nursing college students, a bunch came in a group.” There’s clothing for men, too.
This is the second For Elyse. The first is in Chico, voted Best Women’s Clothing Store by Chico News and Review in recent years. The shops are owned by Amber Kierig and named for her daughter. Kierig has been in business more than 10 years, Lacey said.
Like the Chico store, a pool table will be installed in the back area, she said, “to make things just more fun. ” It’s coming soon.

I stopped in the other day and was very impressed with both the sales person and the selection of clothing. I not only saw items my grandgirls would like, I also saw clothing I would wear. I wish For Elyse much success and commend them for being smart enough to establish a business next to the ever increasingly popular Vintner’s Cellar.
I stopped by last week and it is awesome. What a terrific addition to our downtown!

I love For Elyse, I would buy all my clothes there if I could, they have a great selection if you’re looking for casual-semi formal dresses as well as a few more formal dresses. They also provide a wide selection of jeans, especially of the Miss Me brand. They also carry lots of extremely cute tops. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Their merchandise is adequately priced, but you have to move fast on your buys because they run out of sizes quick!
